Collegium Medicum

Founded in 2005, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is one of JKU's most innovative and progressive faculties, offering both undergraduate and graduate-level degree programs.

Research and clinical teaching at the university is conducted in close partnership with seven clinical hospitals. There are many students enrolled in programs of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at JKU, with an ever-growing number of those enrolled being from different corners of the world.

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences consists of 4 Institutes:

• Medicine
• Physiotherapy
• Nursing and Obstetrics
• Public Health.

Medical teaching in English began here in 2016 and continues to be a growing focus of the university. JKU encourages cultural diversity in the classroom, accepting international students from all around the globe to pursue their medical education in Kielce. Presently, students attending the 6-year M.D. program come from the following international backgrounds:

- Class of 2022: Germany, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Spain, U.S.A.

- Class of 2023: Ireland, Poland, and Spain

- Class of 2024: Denmark, Germany, Iraq, Ireland, Morocco, Norway, Pakistan, Portugal, Russia, Spain, and Sweden 

After their first year of studies, students are eligible to apply for the EU ERASMUS exchange program to study abroad for one or two semesters.

JKU currently offers 50 seats in the 6-year M.D. program at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
